Who we are

Palmer & Howells is a local company founded in 1999 by two chefs who take an active role in running each contract. We specialise in high quality catering services to independent schools and Industry alike and understand the importance of providing excellent quality, healthy and nutritious meals as well as cost effective options for those who pay directly for their food.

We employ trained and experienced chefs who work with teams of support staff to work to high quality standards. Our menus are checked with a nutritionist who ensures proper balance and we offer dishes for special dietary requirements. We encourage our staff to build good rapport with our customers and we always listen to their feedback and respond appropriately.

Palmer & Howells is an efficient Company, and unique in that they do not retain discounts from suppliers. As a result we are able to offer very cost-effective alternatives against our competitors and "in- house" operators without ever compromising quality.

Where we came from

Formally known as Cotswold Catering, the Company made the decision to expand their profile in August 2003. Kevin Howells, a Director of Palmer & Howells, says "It was a very exciting time for the Company not only did we change our name and logo, but we took the decision to expand the business and move to larger premises in a key location, Bristol."

This has enabled the Company to increase their client base and offer a first class service providing innovative and imaginative menus, traditional management skills and sound purchasing, together with comprehensive and up-to-date training.

We produce quality within the framework of an enthusiastic and flexible team approach.
